This timber frame accent home was designed for Whitehorse Yukon with a strong focus on insulation.
We designed exterior walls to be 2 layers of 2×4 frame walls with low and high density spray foam (R42), roof to be 16″ eng web truss rafters with high density spray foam (R84)!
A tulikivi wood furnace was installed at main floor with a large 2000 gallons heat reservoir water tank in basement mechanical room. Warmboard in floor heat was added to all framed floors.
This house was designed to withstand the extreme winters of the Canadian north!
