We designed this 3951 sq.ft. living space western red cedar log home in 2013 and the detached garage / rec. room in 2014. A unique design including a Mirador lookout at very top to catch the view from all sides.

This creative log home design will be built at Chilliwack lake BC. The LOG NEST was designed to capture a 360 degree view of surrounding mountains and lake. This 1420 sq.ft. footprint home boasts two bedrooms on main and two possible bedrooms in walkout basement plus a lookout tower getaway. Including basement, living space totals 2970 square foot.

Site preparation:
Owner or general contractor is to conduct soil tests and dig test holes to determine soil type and drainage properties of the building site.
A surface drainage pattern should be established to drain the entire area and direct water away from the house.
